Mission Phulkari
Mission Phulkari envisions revival of Phulkari 'the state's traditional hand embroidery'. It aims to empower the artisans by providing them a platform to showcase and sell their products directly without the involvement of any middlemen. Thus, ensuring that true value of products goes to the artisans directly. It envisages a diverse range of products in terms of utility presenting a fusion of traditional designs with contemporary trends.
It is a Government of Punjab initiative, where the Department of Cooperation and Markfed are the implementing agencies in collaboration with NIFT, Delhi and UIFT, Panjab University.
